Skye Rose pendant - 8PA white rose was one of the symbols associated with the Stuart kings of Britain. In the summer of 1746 the Young Pretender to the British throne, Prince Charles Edward Stuart (Bonnie Prince Charlie) fled to Skye from the Outer Isles after the defeat of the Jacobite army at Culloden.
