19th Century Burr Walnut Tunbridge Ware Box Full CatalogueA stunning 19th century burr walnut Tunbridge Ware box. The top and front of the box is cross banded with tulipwood, with a mother of pearl top escutcheon and key escutcheon and a professionally relined interior. There are few very small scuffs to the box in places consistent with age, and please note that the box does not have its key, however overall it remains a very good condition. A lovely example of exceptional 19th century craftsmanship.

There is some very light spotting to the preliminary pages only

The bottle is substantial and remains in an excellent condition with no chips or cracks

The lid can be removed and applied with ease

The salt cellar is complete with blue glass liner (which has a fine crack but has been sensitively repaired)

The lantern shows signs of wear commensurate with approximately 200 years of age but remains in a remarkably good condition overall

each boasting finely carved decoration

The lids show some minor denting consistent with age but remain in a very good condition with function hinge and screw top mechanisms operating with ease
