Darrell Bradley was admitted to practice law in Belize on 11 October, 2007. He practices mainly in the areas of commercial law, including corporate management and corporate finance, banking and taxation law, contracts, property, employment law and administrative and constitutional law.

Darrell worked formerly for Young’s Law Firm and he has done substantial legal work, including legislative and contract drafting, corporate finance and litigation, for the Belize Tourism Board, the Belize Electricity Limited, the Central Bank of Belize, the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital Authority and the Belize Social Security Board.

Darrell served as President of the Senate of Belize from June, 2019 to October, 2020 and as Mayor of Belize City from March, 2012 to February, 2018. He was also President of the Belize Mayor’s Association; Chairman of the Social Security Board Appeal’s Tribunal; Member of the Board of Directors of the London-based Commonwealth Local Government Forum; Vice-President of the Belize Bar Association; and member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Belize.

Darrell is part of the adjunct faculty at the University of the West Indies Open Campus (Belize), Galen University, the University of Belize and Wesley Junior College Belize and is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honour and Service Fraternity.

Darrell earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in sociology and international studies (summa cum laude), and a Master of Arts Degree, majoring in Public Administration and Graduate Certificate in University Teaching, from Saint Louis (Jesuit) University in Missouri in the United States of America. He later earned a Bachelor of Law Degree (upper second class honours) from the University of the West Indies in Barbados and a Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. Darrell also did training in mediation from the Dispute Resolution Foundation in Jamaica.

Darrell is married to Julie-Ann Ellis Bradley and they have two children, Nathan and Sunisa.
