Julie-Ann is one of the founding partners of Bradley Ellis & Co. LLP Prior to October 2015, she was an Associate at Barrow & Williams LLP, one of Belize’s leading law firms from February 2011 which she joined after serving as Corporate Counsel for the Insurance Corporation of Belize for over two years. Julie-Ann began her legal career in 2007 in Kingston Jamaica where she practiced as an Associate at a leading law firm, Nunes Scholefield Deleon & Co as a member of its litigation department.

Julie-Ann practices in the areas of corporate, contract, employment, insurance, probate, real estate, immigration and offshore matters as well as general civil litigation at the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal. She specializes in insurance and corporate law and is a certified Supreme Court Mediator and Notary Public. She prepared the Supplement to the Compendium on Environmental Protection and Natural Resource Management Legislation in Belize and provided invaluable assistance in the revision of the Department of the Environment’s legislative Guide to Developers (2011).

Julie-Ann is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Communications (Hons) in 2003 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (Hons) in 2005. She earned her Certificate in Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School in 2007. She also received certificate training as a mediator from the Dispute Resolution Foundation in Kingston, Jamaica, and training in advanced mediation from the University of the West Indies, Open Campus, Belize, and she received a Cert. CII insurance qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Since 2009, Julie-Ann has been a Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Open Campus, Belize. She is also a member of the Bar Association of Belize and she sits on the National Mediation Committee in the capacity of facilitator and trainer.

Julie-Ann is passionate about community service and has served in various capacities, including as President on the executive of the Kiwanis Club of Belize Central and the Premier Speakers Toastmasters Club. She currently serves as a member of the Advisory Council for the Salvation Army in Belize.
